Football player should be examined (if it’s possible) to see if they have signs of CTE on brain scans. I’m not sure how much they can detect when you’re alive. Obviously, autopsies can actually look at the brain itself, but they need to be examined for to make sure that they’re healthy. Some of the stories I read about these guys playing when they’re really busted up and badly hurt is horrible. I love football, but I want our guys to be taken care of. That’s the most important thing and maybe if he had been this wouldn’t have happened.

Every tackle in the NF'nL, by its very design, is intended to hurt the player being tackled. It isn't touch football. The difference between saying "I hope you hurt player X" and "I'll pay you to hurt player X" is semantics. Defensive players are, by their very nature, intended to inflict violence and injury to the opponent. Their bounty? It's called player salaries.
